Spotlight on the Bilan Carbone® certification and Forizons expertise

Thibaud, one of our certified consultant tells us about the close link between Bilan Carbone® and Supply Chain

“I obtained a Bilan Carbone® certification in 2018 while studying Supply Chain Management at Kedge Business School. Bilan Carbone® allows you to identify the main opportunities to reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of an organization by analyzing almost all emission factors. When doing the assessment at the beginning of the methodology, you have to take into account the end-to-end flow of your company, from the first supplier to the last customer. Analyzing your company with supply chain experts will therefore help you to identify opportunities to reduce its GHG emissions (often linked with supply chain aspects: productivity, sourcing strategy, transportation means…) and to improve the performance of operations at the same time.”

Bilan Carbone® : What is it ?

The evaluation of your carbon footprint is mandatory in France since 2010 for companies over 500 employees. The tool Bilan Carbone® has been developped by ADEME (Agence de l’Environnement et de la Maîtrise de l’Energie), it is managed by ABC (Association Bilan Carbone) and is one of the most used methodology to evaluate your carbon footprint.
